Smartboard Education

Over the past year I have been working with a Local school district helping update their computers and technology for the classrooms. One of the big items that is being installed and used is the Smartboards. This is the future replacement of the white boards, black boards, or as they where called in my school days chalk boards. These boards allow the teacher to do half of the work that they use to spend in preparing the lessons and teaching the students.
The boards allow the teacher to use their computer to interact with the board for slides shows, internet, video, working out class problems and such. Then to make sure the students understand or to help in the teaching process the students are also able to interact with the boards. The board acts like a touch screen. So it records your movement of objects or allows you to type, draw or write on it and then save it to a document on the computer. With all of the different features and uses of these boards I can see where companies will want to get on board as well with this technology to be in their board meetings, sales meetings, training centers, and etc. The overall cost savings in time short and long will make it work it to them.
